The Power of Stories in Life and Sales

Antonio Michael Downing

Stories are…

  • Stories are potent platforms of meaning

  • Stories are our most effective delivery mechanisms for information

  • Stories are how we learn crucial social programming as children

  • Stories define the boundaries of what we believe is possible

  • Stories can either limit or empower us

Through a series of stories from pop culture and from my life and career in Sales we will explore how the storytelling unlocks the three key capacities of human interaction: Authenticity, Empathy and Integrity. We will also ask the one question at the heart of telling our own personal stories: Who are you and what do you have to offer the world?
